•the legislative branch is the lawmaking body of the goverment
•it has the house of representatives, which has 435 members and is based on the population of the state
•members serve a two year term
•a member must be 25+ years old, a (legal) resident of the state, and must be a u.s. citezen for at least 7 years.
•it also controls the senate,which has 100 members.
•2 members per state
•the president of the senate, and the longest member of the senate control it.
•you must be a citizen for 9 years, be at least 30 years old, and be a legal member of the state to join the senate.

•Cannot be sued or arrested while going to work
